There are several options for Bridges participants seeking accommodations on or near the Sexton Campus of Dalhousie University. Please note the Sexton campus is not the main campus of Dalhousie University. It is located about one mile to the east of the main campus. All the accommodations listed below are on or near the Sexton campus.
Beware of scams! Scammers will look at websites for conferences and then attempt to send email messages to participants asking them for their itineraries or to book accommodations with them. The Bridges Organization and the hotels below will not send you unsolicited messages about accommodations; anything you receive of this type is spam.
Residence Halls: Dalhousie University is offering accommodations in two of its residence halls: Risley Hall (1233 LeMarchant Place) and LeMarchant Place (1246 LeMarchant Place). Risley Hall features private bedrooms with shared washroom facilities for $110 CAD per night; LeMarchant Place features two-bedroom suites with private washroom and kitchenette for $125 CAD per night. Hampton Inn: Hampton Inn Halifax (1960 Brunswick St.) is located about a ten minute walk from the main conference location. They recommend making reservations online at group.hamptoninn.com/htmpzp. They can also be made by phone, by calling 1-855-331-0334 and mentioning the block name “The Bridges Organization”. Their discounted conference rate is available for reservations made before 25 April 2023.
Homewood Suites: Homewood Suites Halifax is co-located with the Hampton Inn. Reserve online at group.homewood-suites.com/35k9hf, or call 1-855-331-0337 and mention the block name “The Bridges Organization”. Their discounted conference rate is available for reservations made before 25 April 2023.
Hollis: the Hollis Halifax (1649 Hollis St.) is about a seven minute walk from the main conference location. Bridges participants will receive the conference rate by using our booking link by 10 June 2023.
Residence Inn: the Residence Inn by Marriott (1599 Grafton St.) is about a four minute walk from the main conference location. Bridges participants will receive the conference rate by using our booking link by 10 June 2023.
The Westin Nova Scotian: The Westin Nova Scotian (1181 Hollis St.) is about a five minute walk from the main conference location. Bridges participants can use our booking link by 26 May to access a group rate of $249 per night for 25–31 July.
