Guide for Authors and Participants

In this section of the website you will find information that will help you navigate the process of contributing to Bridges as an author or artist, as well as information about participating in our conferences. Some of these instructions will updated periodically (for example, the paper submission process changes every year), so please check back periodically.

Information for authors

Papers submitted to Bridges must adhere to a standard format, which we adjust year to year as we discover bugs or deficiencies. Please use our formatting guidelines to prepare your paper submission. When you are ready, you can follow our submission process to send us your paper.

In a typical year, the conference accepts submissions in various other formats, most commonly artworks, short films, fashion, and poetry. For information about submitting to these other categories, locate the Call for Submissions area of the web page for our next conference.

Information for participants

The best way to participate in the Bridges community is to register for and attend the annual conference. Attendance is open to all: there is no notion of membership in the organization, and you do not need to submit work to the conference. If you want to register, please see the Registration page for the current year’s conference, or go directly to our e-commerce site.

All attendees at Bridges conferences are expected to follow our code of conduct.
